Well, Friends, another year has come and gone. 2012 was not an ordinary year. It ended with an extraordinary event that will not repeat for another 25,625 years. Several of Earth cycles culminated on the date of 12-21-2012, a 5,125 year cycle and a 25625 year cycle. There was a lot of speculation about the fate of planet Earth on this date which marked the end of the Mayan Calendar. Many predicted the end of the Earth and Hollywood had a hayday with films depicting the demise of our planet. Because it is God’s will, life continues on planet Earth. The question now is……”Is this the end of a cycle, or the beginning of a new one? Or, perhaps both.
I believe we are at the dawning of a new age. Astronomers say we are at the dawning of the “Age of Aquarius.” As inhabitants of the beautiful planet with a bright blue dome, we look to a better world in this new age. We look to a world of cooperation and love, a place where we realize we are one. Certainly not one in that we are copies of one another, but one in that we are all valued parts of human consciousness, all part of God’s human family.
We wonder how to create a new age of love, peace, and cooperation when it seems there is so much around us that is not in allignment with those tresured concepts. My belief is we’d better figure it out because if we fail we may not have an earth to enjoy. I know I cannot change anyone directly, but I can affect those around me when I change my own expectations. When I live in a spirit of hope, integrity, love and cooperation, I do affect those around me. Dr David Hawkins says that when enough of us live in peace, harmony, and intgrity our collective consciousness will tip the scales and will counter-balance Earth’s negativity. My challenge to you is to keep your focus on being the embodiment of love. Love eminates from your heart. Lead your life based on the desires of your heart. Leave judgment and criticism behind. Believe in the inate goodness of all. Know within the heart everyone has a spark of divine. See the world as a beautiful perfect place and when enough of us do just that, so it will be.
