Walk in The Garden

I love to walk in the garden.  It brings peace to my soul and centers my mind.  There is something very spiritual about being in nature, whether it’s in a garden or a forest, high on a mountain top or sitting on a beach listening to the sound of the tides.  At these moments I feel close to God.  I believe we must find time every day to be in nature.  Not only should we be in nature, we should take our shoes off and walk on Mother Earth for at least 10 minutes every day.  Our bodies contain electrical curcuits.  In our world of asphalt, concrete and shoes with rubber souls we need to ground ourselves on Mother Earth everyday.  If you feel tense or frustrated it could be that you need to be grounded.  It’s amazing what a barefoot walk in the garden can do to relax and center your mind.

Another thing to do when in nature is let yourself feel the the amazing energy of life in nature. One way to do that is stop labeling everything you see.  We are so conditioned to put a label on everything we don’t realize we’re doing it.  Just be in nature without labeling things……that’s a butterfly, that’s a tree, that’s a bird, that’s a rose, etc.  When you place a label on anything, you loose ability to be affected by it.  Soren Kierkegaard said; “Once you label me, you negate me.”  And he was right.   Go out into nature and just feel the energy of life exploding all around you.  It’s amazing!  It’s spiritual!  You feel so blessed to be alive!

So, my friends, try taking a barefoot walk in the garden.  Feel the energy of life!  Let me know how it feels.

I am a master cake decorator, I love gardening, I am passionate about health and nutrition. I love parties and gatherings of family and friends. I love cooking and at least twice each year I host dinner for 50. I love writing, teaching and public speaking. I love my sweetheart. We met when we were only 10 years old and will soon celebrate our 50th anniversary. Everything I do is centered on my spiritual beliefs and I know love is the answer to all of life's problems.
