In the Good Old Summertime

When I was a kid, I remember the hot, dog days of summer when the best way to cool off was sitting in front of an oscillating fan with a big chunk of ice in front of it.  And when the family wanted to take a drive, we rolled the windows down and went sixty miles an hour.  There was no protecting a new hair do, but the hot wind was better than sweltering.  Some of my more affluent friends’ homes had evaporative coolers.  They were great until the temperatures reached the high nineties or 100s.  Then they made you feel hot AND humid.  Now we take our central cooling systems for granted.  The only time we really think about it is when we get our power bill…..yikes! Or when the system goes out, usually on the hottest day of the year.  Then we are forced to experience how miserable life can be without it.   Yes, yes!  One of life’s blessings  is my central cooling system.  Aaah, relief!!!…….Earlynns Just Sayin’

Earlynn is a spunky mother, grandmother and yes, even a great grandmother. I have always been drawn to things spiritual from the time I was very young. Over the years I have read, studied and prayed that God would use me to bring comfort to troubled minds. I love cooking and at least twice each year I host dinner for 50. I love writing, teaching and public speaking. I love my sweetheart. We met when we were only 10 years old and will soon celebrate our 50th anniversary. Everything I do is centered on my spiritual beliefs and I know love is the answer to all of life's problems.     I am really loving the theme/design of your site. Do you ever run into any browser compatibility problems?
    A couple of my blog visitors have complained about
    my blog not operating correctly in Explorer but looks great in
    Chrome. Do you have any ideas to help fix this problem?

    I have to say that I love the summer heat, but not when I’m inside! I love my central air and would not want to do summer without it! 🙂
